Abstract. The methods of promoting forest education in
society pursued in the Forest Districts of the State Forests National
Forest Holding (SF NFH) in line with Ordinance no. 57 issued by the
Director General of the SF NFH in connection with Poland’s adoption of
international declarations (e.g. the Stockholm and Rio Declarations,
Agenda 21) were presented on the example of the Rudnik Forest District.
Among the diverse forms of education carried out in the Rudnik Forest
District the most popular are fieldwork classes and trips with a guide
(34.4%) followed by meetings with foresters at schools and
kindergartens (27.2%), outdoor educational meetings with foresters
(24.0%), as well as campaigns and special events (14.4%).
